The Impact of Sports Participation on Long-term Health


Tatjana Trivic received her Bachelor, Master and a PhD in Sport Sciences at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education, University of Novi Sad. She is currently working as Assistant Professor of Combat sports at the University of Novi Sad. Her current research is focused on physiological responses to maximal and sub maximal exercise in judo and combat sports. Also, in last few years she is focused on molecular hydrogen administration on biomarkers of acid-base homeostasis and post-exercise recovery in judo athletes as well as on effects of oral guanidinoacetic acid in human nutrition. To date, she is author and co-author of more than 60 peer-reviewed articles in multidisciplinary journals with impact factors such as: Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise; BMC Public Health; Frontiers in Psychology; International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health, European Journal of Nutrition; Applied Physiology, Nutrition, and Metabolism; Archives of Budo; Journal of Human Kinetics; Kinesiology; Irish Journal of Medical Science; Science & Sports; Medicina Dello Sport; Current Topics in Nutraceutical Research; Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition; Pharmaceutics; HealthMED; Biomedical Human Kinetics; Journal of Eating Disorders; Archives of Budo Science of Martial Arts and Extreme Sports; Ido Movement for Culture – Jounal of Martial arts Anthropology; Human Movement.

She is editor of the special issue of Sports “Tackling Performance Challenges in Martial Arts and Combat Sports”.
