Healthy Longevity: Concept or Illusion

Prof. Dr. Branka Javornik is professor emerita at the University of Ljubljana. She was employed at the Biotechnical Faculty as a teacher and researcher in the fields of biotechnology and genetics. After retirement, she began to work intensively on scientific aspects of the biology of aging. Within the framework of the Gerontological Society of Slovenia, she has organized professional conferences on the topic of aging and regularly promotes the concept of healthy longevity in academic circles and in society at large. She was the initiator of the introduction of two new elective courses in the biology of aging in M.Sc. programs at the University of Ljubljana. She also lectures at Faculty of Active Wisdom, UL.
